Lines are crazy

Still not drawing as well as I want to. Still keeping at it! As long as I don't quite I'll get there. I am improving. I say that all the time but it's true. I can see it in colleagues paintings and drawings... Strange errors that, will freak you out. I wish I can soak up knowledge like when I was little. I learned so much, I'd sit around and copy a drawing or trace things. Strangely enough they want us to learn by tracing. BUT NOT TO COPY. Definitely not. I enjoy that they don't want us to copy what is in front of us, but to feel and understand what makes "things" (models, buildings, landscape, animals, and etc.) Ah so hard.

School is about over in 4 weeks. In the remaining four weeks I need to finish a rendering (which will hopefully be done soon because I don't want to work on it any further) Start and finish some color comps. Start painting my rendering which will be basically the final project for 113B. As for Sheldon's class, a portfolio I believe will be due. Most likely stuff we've been doing. Gesture, short and long poses, drapery, character designs, some paintings, and I don't know...

In those four weeks I'm going to be looking for a job. I don't know what is a good place to work. Something not too stressful and close to the campus and the new apartment so I don't have to waste time traveling since we don't have a car. I could invest in a bike, but I am not experienced enough to ride one, I don't think at least. I could use the exercise, I'm getting tubby. Anyway, when the semester is over, new things will happen again.

Today I woke up before my alarm, which was 11am and got ready to draw. I needed to work on figure drawing so I did a bunch of tracing. I started from the beginning of the book and now I'm somewhat in the middle. (I think I might do that again on Monday. Tomorrow is going to be a rendering day and color comps. The plan is to have both of them done. Monday I can concentrate on the figure all day. Tuesday will be class, I'll set up my board then so be ready to paint.) After figure studying I went to visit Oliver at work. I hate sitting in that light rail for an hour and then sitting on it again to come home. It takes so long. I feels faster now that I'm used to it, but I really dislike walking there. Anyway, I planned on buying sandals and soap, but that didn't happen. Then we came home got sandwiches and watched Bones. I like Bones. I almost fell asleep but made myself get up and get ready for bed. Now I'm going to play some Smash Brothers.

if you like bones, you really need to read the original Kathy Reichs books!! THEY ARE SOOOOOO GOOD... and they play later in tempe's life where she travels between montreal and north carolina (i think) and solves crime all over the place. They are realllly welll written. Start with the first one which is "Deja Dead" I think. I'm sure any library should have them I think all of them where bestsellers.

Also I like reading about your work routine :) I always find it super fascinating how people work and when.

Where does Oliver work now?
